Vincenzo Joins the Lab as a Postdoc

Vincenzo Mastrolia has just joined us after an impressive research journey across Europe. He received his Biotechnology degree in Milan and trained in several leading laboratories, developing broad expertise in neurophysiology. After his PhD in Austria, he spent eight years as a postdoc in France (Girault lab) and the UK (Burrone lab), studying synaptic plasticity and its regulation. With the goal of integrating ex vivo and in vivo approaches in his future research, he joins our lab to combine slice electrophysiology and circuit mapping to study the head direction system.

Vincenzo is a positive and supportive team player who’s already enriching our lab’s social life (and snack supply!). We’re thrilled to have him on board and look forward to exciting experiments ahead. Welcome to the lab, Vincenzo!
