Qimin Wu, MSci | Research Assistant
Qimin joined the lab as a research assistant after completing an MSci in Neuroscience at UCL. During the course of the degree, Qimin interned at the Queen Square Institute of Neurology (Magloire and Kullmann Lab), investigating the regulation of brain excitability in seizures, and later at the Sainsbury Wellcome Centre (O’Keefe Lab), studying how the amygdala encodes abstract concepts. For the final-year dissertation, Qimin worked in the Coen Lab, developing a behavioural environment for detailed phenotyping of mouse movements and prediction of task performance. Qimin is now focused on uncovering the neural mechanisms of spatial orientation through a combination of behavioural analysis and electrophysiological recordings.
